Summary[]
Olivia is a fashion designer, dancer, architect, artist, and big sister, and she's quite precocious. The only thing - or person - that might get in the way is her little brother, or "little bother", Ian.
Plot[]
Olivia is a young piglet who is good at several things; a prominent skill of hers is wearing people out, as well as wearing herself out. She has a little brother named Ian, whom is constantly copying her, but she stays firm whenever he doesn't stop. Olivia lives with Ian, her mom and dad, Perry the dog, and Edwin the cat. Olivia's morning routine includes moving the cat, brushing her teeth, combing her ears, moving the cat once more, and getting dressed by supposedly having to try on everything.
On sunny days, Olivia goes to the beach, and it is stated that she believes that it's important to go prepared. When she was little, last summer, her mom taught her how to make sandcastles, and got "pretty" good at it. Olivia also likes to bask in the sun sometimes - until she has had enough. When her mom notices, they head home.
Olivia is required to take a nap every day, and her mom tries to convince her to take her "you-know-what," despite Olivia not feeling sleepy at all. On rainy days, Olivia goes to the museum, and always goes straight to her favorite picture. She stares at it for a long time, leading to the question, "What could she be thinking?" A Jackson Pollock photo confuses Olivia, and comes to the conclusion that she could do that in about five minutes. She tries it at home, and it results in a punishment.
Olivia has to take a bath and eat her dinner before she goes to bed. However, Olivia is still not sleepy at all, and tries to convince her mom to read her an absurd amount of books, which begins an argument between the two of them, until they come to a conclusion that Olivia's mom would read her only 3 books. After they read the book, Olivia's mother gives her a kiss and tells her that she wears her out, despite loving her anyway. Olivia gives her a kiss back, and tells her that she loves her anyway too, and the book ends with Olivia sleeping in her bed, dreaming of singing on stage.
